Dad always thought that laughter was the best medicine, which I guess is why several of us died of tuberculosis.

I hate Hollywood; I really do.
Making another Hulk movie with the same title as the previous one (likely in the hopes we'll forget about that flop) was shameful enough, but it's getting to the point where I as a consumer feel insulted.
The following is a list of movies that are being remade that piss me off to no end:
Scanners - Leave our scifi cult classics alone. Any director other than Cronenberg will try to turn this into something it's not.
Akira - ...because nobody wants to see a japamanese Annie-may moovee, we're gonna remake it in LIVE ACTION and set it in NEO-AMERICA (because our audience can't possibly relate to a story taking place in any other country.) Not only that, but we'll turn it into a fading star vehicle by casting Leonardo di motherfuckingCaprio (a 33 year old man) as a teenager. Next we'll have James Hong playing Tetsuo; goddamn.
TRON - HOW THE FUCK DO YOU PLAN ON PULLING OFF REMAKING TRON? It's a classic that everyone has either seen or at the very least heard of. The early 3D is the charm of it, and if you cock that up by putting in cutting edge 3D models with real-time eyelash shaders, the entire point is lost. Plain and simple, this movie does not need to be remade.
The writer's strike is supposedly over, but we're being bombarded with more unoriginal crap than any point in history. I'd even take Sideways over this. It was boring, pretentious, and placed in the wrong genre, but at least it was original.
